Explore, play, experiment, ask 'what would happen if...?'

This is the domain of my sketchbook!
 

It's where I get to bring out all the 'things' in my studio - acrylic, watercolour, ink, pencil and pastel and see what happens when there are no rules.
 

Diving in with no fixed plan or brief, other than put on paper the ideas dancing at the edges of my mind.

Weaving together elements of nature, spirituality, and the divine feminine to create beautiful stories that resonate with the soul.
 

In September 2024 I enrolled in a year long 'Defining Practice' course with the Newlyn School of Art 

Already halfway through the course, it has already encouraged me to elevate my artistic practice to new levels, and given me the push to try so many new techniques and materials - quite an interesting and challenging process after 25 years of digital illustrating, but I truly believe you are never too old to learn new things.
 

And while on the subject of learning new things... I've recently learnt to bind my own sketchbooks and have been making huge A3 versions so I can spread out a bit more and add more detail to the artwork I'm creating.
 

It feels quite vulnerable to be sharing these unpolished pages, but it's where the magic truly comes alive for me!
